Study on the preparation process of malonic acid catalyzing by cation exchange resin

A new process has been studied to synthesize malonic acid from diethyl malonate through hydrolysis reaction and catalyzing by 732 type cation exchange resin.The optimal conditions were as follows:reaction temperature is 90 ℃,reaction time is 11 h,quality ratio of water to diethyl malonate is 1 ∶1,mass ratio of diethyl malonate to resin is 10 ∶3.Under the above conditions,the yield of malonic acid is 89.8%.
