Optimizing Shipbuilding Process and Shortening Time on Building Berth

This paper introduces the new advances of Shanghai Shipyard Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd. in the endeavour to develop fabricated block joining, block pre-outfitting and precision-control shipbuilding technology, and to improve the completion of block fabrication and joined blocks before their erection on the slipway (dry dock) and ship launching, which make the shipyard key facilities of slipway (dry dock) be mostly effective in shipbuilding production.
