The application of the single-switch three-phase discontinuous-conduction-mode(DCM) boost rectifier to higher power level was limited due to its high THD in hard switching state.By using harmonic-injection technique to modulate duty cycle, the power factor of the input current was corrected at discontinuous-conduction-mode and good performance was obtained. With this technique,a lower THD,or a higher power level with a low THD that meets the IEC61000-3-2 requirements can be achieved for the rectifier.A 1 kW prototype has been developed.
