To find out the similarities and differences of chemical components in the chromatographic fingerprints of volatile oil from different crude drug of wenyujin herbage, family Zingiberaceae,by chemometrics method. The chromatographic fingerprint data were acquired by high performance liquid chromatography with acetonitrile-2‰ phosphoric acid gradient elution mobile phase, flow rate 1.0 mL/min,column temperature of 20 ℃,and of recorded wavelength range 200~340 nm.The chromatographic spectroscopic data of fingerprints of curcuma wenyujin root tuber, curcuma wenyujin rhizome and wenyujin concise rhizome were comparatively analyzed using evolving subwindow comparison method. The comparison results showed that 15 and 6 chemical components present alone in chromatographic fingerprints of curcuma wenyujin root tuber and curcuma wenyujin rhizome, respectively, while 18 common components are present in both samples.Also,13 common components are both present in curcuma wenyujin rhizome and wenyujin concise rhizome,as well as at least 4 and 7 components is respectively present alone.
