Based on the strategic seminar "The Fundamentals and Applications of Reticular Chemistry", this review elucidates the scientific essence of "Framework Chemistry", and provides a comprehensive summary of the main research advances in the field of framework chemistry from four aspects: designed synthesis, precise characterization, high-performance, and industrial applications. The review distills the key scientific issues within the field and proposes priority research focuses aligned with the national needs and industrial advancement.
