Infrared detectors are the core components of infrared photoelectric detection systems. Space infrared remote sensing payloads are representatives of high - performance infrared photoelectric detection systems. With the synchronous development of payload requirements and technologies, the demand characteristics for future infrared detectors are gradually becoming clear, namely large - area array scale, high sensitivity, very long cut - off wavelength, and low cost. Driven by the needs of aerospace applications, a number of high - performance infrared detector technologies and products have gradually been developed. This paper analyzes the technical characteristics of representative infrared detectors for aerospace applications and introduces their aerospace application scenarios.
