Objective: Mental health is a pressing concern for South Asian Americans (SAAs) and Southeast Asian Americans (SEAAs) in the U.S. However, research on mental health support specifically for these populations is limited. Given their unique experiences as racial minorities in the U.S., this study aims to identify culturally relevant factors impacting youth mental health and examine culturally sensitive ways to adapt Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) for SAA and SEAA communities.
