Dynamics of Self‐Understanding and Self‐Knowledge: Acquisition, Advantages, and Relation to Emotional Intelligence

The author examines what it means to have self‐knowledge and self‐understanding, explores ways to acquire this intrapsychic intelligence, considers personal growth gains that may accrue from its acquisition, and explores relationships between intellectual intelligence and the emotional intelligence that can grow from increased self‐knowledge and self‐understanding.
