摘要
ABSTRACT The development of multi‐hierarchical intrafibrillar mineralized (MHIM) structures remains challenging for mineralized collagen, which plays a critical role in facilitating the mechanical adaptation of bone. Herein, a novel MHIM collagen for in vitro biomineralization using hexametaphosphate (Hexameta‐P) is developed in this research. Hexameta‐P is found to bind with collagen, creating additional mineral nucleation sites and inducing collagen disassembly during the binding process. The resulting MHIM exhibited superior mineralization, enhanced mechanical adaptability, favorable biocompatibility, and strong bone formation potential. This study advances the understanding of MHIM enabled bone formation and provides alternative candidates for bone repair materials.
