Comprehensive Analysis on Electrochemical Energy Storage Mode and Energy Storage Materials

In view of the significance of the relatively mature battery energy storage system at present and its development history and research status, and the advantages and problems of different battery systems applied to the grid energy storage, the research status, technical advantages and the existing challenges of three emerging electrochemical energy storage technologies, namely liquid metal battery, proton exchange membrane fuel cell and sodium-ion battery were analyzed. Through comparison, at the same time of further improving the existing battery performance and lowering prices of energy storage, developing the next generation electrochemical energy storage system that can satisfy large-scale energy storage applications is urgently needed.
