Objective: To explore the safety and availability of diabetic cataract with phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. Method: 132 eyes of 112 patients who had diabetic cataract were performed phacoemulsification and lens implantation. Results: All the surgeries completed successfully. Most of complications after surgery were inflammation in anterior chamber and that could be cured through drug treatment. There was no serious complications during surgery.Conclusion: The visual acuity has no difference between the non-diabetic cataract patients and the control group if enough preparations for surgery are completed. The phacoemulsification and intraoculr lens implantation is an effect and reliable method to cure diabetic cataract.
