Effect of Inhibitor on Specific Capacitance of Etched Al Foils

To enlarge the aluminum area and gain high capacitance,aluminum anodic foil for electrolytic capacitors are DC etched in chlorhydric acid solution with some corrosion inhibitor. Of the etched aluminum foil,capacitance increases by 12%,weight loss decreases and tunnel density increases when inhibitor added.
