Clinical Observation on 120 Patients of Chronic Non-bacterial Prostatitis with the Syndrome of Liver Stagnation and Blood Stasis Treated by Qianliean Formula

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Qianliean Formula(formula for Improving Prostatitis) on chronic non-bacterial prostatitis in the syndrome of liver stagnation with blood stasis.Methods Totally 240 patients were randomized into the treatment group and control group with 120 cases in each.The former was treated with oral taking of Qianliean Formula while the latter treated by oral taking of Qianliekang Tablets.The therapeutic effect of both groups was observed,and the symptom scoring according to the chronic prostatitis symptom index given by National Institutes of Health(NIH-CPSI) and the examinations on parameters of prostatic fluid were carried out before and after treatment.Results The clinical curative rate of the treatment group and the control group was 38.33% and 24.17% respectively,the total effective rate was 89.16% and 64.67% respectively,the difference was significant(P0.01).In improving the parameters of prostatic fluid and decreasing the NIH-CPSI scores,the treatment group was better than the control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion Qianliean Formula is effective for the syndrome of liver stagnation with blood stasis in the chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.
