Clinical Analysis of Prognosis of Borderline Ovarian Tumors by Laparoscopy Prognosis

Objective To summarize the experience of management of BOT by laparoscopy compared with laparotomy. Methods Retrospective analysis of our hospital from 2000 to 2010 showed the treatment of 77 cases of the border line ovarian tumors. Results Compared with the laparotomy group,the mean tumor size and mean blood loss were lower in the laparoscopy group(P0.05). Conclusion Laparoscopy management of early-stage BOT is safe and feasible in young patients with moderate size tumor(less than 10cm)and close follow-up is necessary.
