By means of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A hardening with the chelates of copper salts and organic acids (acetic, salicylic, anthranilic), and copper salicylaldimine with the aliphatic amines (ethylene diamine, diethylene triamine, triethylene tetramine, cyanoethylated diethylene triamine) metal-containing epoxy chelate polymers have been produced. Depending on the type of the ligands and anions, the properties of these polymers have been studied. The copper-containing polymers have been found to possess significant thermal oxidative stability up to 280°C.
