Flexible Displays

As the most promised next‐generation of displays, lightweight, thin, and flexible displays that can be bent freely are expected in the information‐oriented lifestyle and society. This article focuses on flexible material and device strategy for electronic information displays. Flexible plastic substrates, device fabrication methods, display operation (e.g., organic light‐emitting diode display, liquid crystal display, and electrophoretic display), and driving technology are presented. In addition, new practical applications of flexible displays are also discussed.
