Readers from around the globe will remember 2025 as one of the most tumultuous years in recent history.Profound and unanticipated changes in US public health and international health policy have had far-reaching effects, not only in the US but throughout the rest of the world as well. 1,2These actions include discontinuation of vital medical programs at home and abroad, revision of federal recommendations for diet and vaccination, dwindling access to reproductive services, rising insurance premiums, elimination of environmental protections, and loss of essential funding for research at federal agencies and universities. 3,4These actions will have serious adverse consequences for health and health care in both the immediate and long term.As the premier, largevolume, open-access, general medical journal, JAMA Network Open continued to publish highquality research that is available free of charge to the world throughout the turmoil, including articles addressing the potential effects of these disruptions and related issues. 1,5,6e journal's performance remains strong by any number of metrics.We continue to receive more than 20 000 submissions annually, with over 70% of these originating from countries outside the US.This included over 200 submissions each from Australia, Canada, China, France,
