Synthesis of indole-based biologically active compounds through multicomponent reactions (MCR)

Indole is a part of first ten scaffolds in organic chemistry ,involved in drugs ,materials ,dyes ,biochemical and agrochemicals .Indole and its derivatives show different pharmacological activities like anti-cancer , ant tuber ,anti-inflammatory ,anti-Alzheimer ,antioxidant ,anti-fungal ,anti-malarial ,anti-depressant ,anti-microbial ,analgesics and anti-HIV. Multicomponent reactions are valuable pathway in industry and chemical synthesis. These are one pot reactions in which three or more than two reactants reacts to form product. In this review we highlight the synthesis of indole based biogically active products through multicomponent reactions.
