摘要
In this paper effect and study of the base temperature on the structural and optical properties of zinc oxide films prepared by thermal evaporation method in a vacuum. where Zn metal was deposited on glass bases with a thickness of (50 ± 400) nm with base temperatures (250-27 )0C and with a sedimentation rate (10 ± 2 nm. sec −1). Then the Zn thin film was oxidized at 400 ° C by using oxygen gas for one hour at a flow rate of (500sccm) to obtain a ZnO thin film at 400 ° C X-ray diffraction (XRD) tests indicated that the prepared ZnO films had(IV-II )a type polycrystalline structure. The study of the optical properties of (ZnO) films included recording the absorbance (A) and transmittance (T) spectra of the prepared films, where the results showed that the highest transmittance obtained was (96%) at the base temperature (27 ° C) and for the range of nm wavelengths (1100-800)nm, thus being suitable for use in solar cells, and it has also been found that the transmittance decreases with increasing the temperature of the base. Optical power gaps were calculated for (ZnO) films and for base temperatures (27-250 ° C) and were found to increase with increasing base temperature. The optical constants were also calculated, which include: absorption factor, extinction factor, refractive index, real and imaginary dielectric constant, and optical conductivity.
