The Detection of Motor Nerve Conduction in Rats with Injury of Sciatic Nerve

Objective:To detect the motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV)of the Sprague-Dawley rats with injury of sciatic nerve by different ways.Methods:Thirty healthy adult SD rats were randomly divided into the sciatic nerve completely cutting and reimplantation group(CCRI),chronical constriction injury(CCI)and spared nerve injury group(SNI).Compound muscle action potential were performed to the distal and proximal sciatic nerve trunks and calculated at gastrocnemius muscle belly 10 and 30 days after the operation,and then compared with the normal control.Results:MCV on the on the injured sciatic nerves was discrete and amplitude was degrade,showing conduction blockage.Conclusion:It is meaningful to perform MCV detection as for the diagnosis,therapy and prognosis of sciatic nerve injury.
