This paper studies the technology of Multi-carrier Modulation via DSP.The purpose of studying is searching for a method which can improve data transmission in VHF communication.First,this paper analyzes the state of data transmission in VHF communication.The traditional data transmission uses on single carrier,and the result is low data rate and low reliability due to some disadvantages such as the limited band width.Now Multi-carrier Modulation becomes possible because of the devolepment of DSP.Multi-carrier Modulation can improve the data rate.This paper studies the reason of it,and at the same time this paper compares several different Multi-carrier Modulation methods,then it selects out O-QAM(Orthogonally Multiplexed QAM),analyzes the principle and method of implementation of O-QAM Multi-carrier Modulation,and presents its practical application in VHF communication data transfer.Finally,the study result indicates that the principle and method of implementation of O-QAM Multi-carrier Modulation are correct,and this technique can improve data transmission in VHF communication.
