The present power generation methods from osmotic energy were analyzed,including pressure retarded osmosis(PRO),vapor pressure osmosis and reverse electro dialysis(RED).Test rig of concentration cell was designed.Electromotive force,internal resistance of cell,compartment volume of sea water and fresh water were theoretically analyzed.Five test rigs were made to study the relationship between generated energy power,test compartment width and ion exchange membrane area of the reverse electro cell.Experimental conclusions were drawn out,which is useful to the development of power generation from seawater at the Gulf of Yangzi and Zhujiang River.
