Objective:To evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of laparoscopic myomectomy and open myomectomy. Methods:The clinical data of 56 cases who underwent myomectomy were retrospectively analyzed. There were 22 cases of laparoscopy and 34 cases of laparotomy. The operative time, blood loss and postoperative recovery of two groups were compared and analyzed. Results:The operative blood loss, postoperative use of analgetica, time of fever, hospitalization and use of antibiotics in laparoscopic group were much better than that in open group. But operative time of laparoscopic group was longer than open group. Conclusions:Compared with traditional laparotomy, laparoscopic myomectomy has a lot of advantages, such as little trauma, quick recovery and short hospitalization. But laparoscopy needs higher technique of surgeon and better operative apparatus, and can't completely replace laparotomy.Properly choosing operative type is essential for success of operation.
