Sulfur removal gypsum was applied as an amendment of heavy soda saline alkali soil and showed obvious saline alkali removal effect. The sulfur removal gyprum can decrease soil pH and alkalinity. Amount of the amendment applied is from 5787 to 23149 kg·ha 1 . As the amount of the amendment used increased, the soil pH and alkalinity could correspondently decreased. It made maize grow in barren land and increased the yield.
