Synthesis and use of carboxymethylated lignosulfonates

The conditions for preparing carboxymethylated lignosulfonate derivatives were examined. The complexation of carboxymethyl groups of lignosulfonates with tanning chromium compounds was demonstrated. The possibility of using modified lignosulfonates in leather retanning and filling was shown.
