摘要
Depth perception represents both the decoding way from eye to neural system and the brain’s integration process of depth cues. Depressive disorder is a common affective disorder. Its effects on depth perception are still blur. With the aim to explore the effect of modest depressive disorder on the perception of binocular depth cue, synchronized eye movement and EEG were employed to study the visual system and brain activities during depth illusion and rest in this study. The results demonstrated that during weak depth perception, healthy controls presented a significant reduced complexity of brain activity compared to depth and non-depth conditions, but this reduction pattern was not revealed in modest depressive disorder. Besides, this alteration of depressive disorder may contribute from the impaired functions of the parietal and visual cortices. Furthermore, the results also proved that modest depressive disorder may not affect global and local information integrations and global coherent activation of brain during depth perception.
