摘要
This study aims to investigate the primary research focal points in the design of children’s wearable devices and examine emerging trends for future development based on these present research hotspots. Utilising the research materials and literature on children’s wearable device design sourced from Web of Science, we employed VOSviewer and CiteSpace to construct a scientific knowledge map of the literature. This included the temporal distribution and outputs, countries, research institutions, and keyword clustering, followed by visualisation and analysis. The total quantity of literature in the search is increasing, with nations like China and the United States leading in research efforts. The primary study areas in the design of children’s wearable devices are on behavioural motivation monitoring, digital health, quality of life, and intelligent psychology, among others. The research on children’s wearable device design has a strong interdisciplinary nature, and the future research focus will concentrate on the mental health of children’s wearable device design and the feasibility of wearable technology and other research directions. Emerging industrial trends may focus on monitoring student mental health, enhancing learning efficiency, advancing wearable sensor technologies, and using wearable devices. This summary examines the present status and trends in research, focusing on the future development of children’s wearable device design in relation to children’s mental health, smart technology, and the use of smart devices. CWD-DR illustrates the trend of integrating many technological methodologies with design, encompassing aspects such as the design of shape and structure, ergonomics and inclusivity, intelligent technology and digital design, as well as practicality and lifestyle design.
