摘要
In this study, clear asphalt (CA) modified by a silane coupling agent (KH550) was prepared. A light-colored asphalt mixture (LCAM) was prepared by mixing CA and limestone aggregate. The properties of CA were analyzed by performing the asphalt conventional test, pull-off test, optical test, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, dynamic shear rheometer examinations, and contact angle test. The road performance, chromatic and reflectivity properties of the LCAM specimens were evaluated. The results indicated that the transparency of CA was 76.5%, and the modification of KH550 improved the adhesion of CA. The thermal stability and low-temperature crack resistance of CA were better than those of conventional asphalt. After modification with KH550, the dynamic stability of LCAM decreased, and the moisture resistance and lowtemperature performance increased. The LCAM had higher RGB values and higher reflective performance. Overall, the CA and LCAM materials that we prepared can be used effectively for future road paving.
