摘要
Recent years has witnessed the burst of the translation of Chinese science fiction into foreign languages along with the rising translation studies on science fiction. A systematic way of study on English translation of Chinese science fiction is in dire need, whereas the Eco-translatology theory, a paradigm that adopts an overall view can offer help. This paper analyzes how the future ecology of society, culture, technologies and languages depicted in the Death's End are transplanted into the target text by means of "the transformation of three dimensions" --the translation principle of Eco-translatology theory. It is found that the ecological balance of languages, culture and communicative intention between the source and target texts are achieved through the translator's adaptation and selection.
