Synthesizing Zr-based oxynitride with low defects by CaH2-assisted nitridation for photocatalytic Z-scheme overall water splitting

The Zr-based oxynitride, Zr 2 ON 2 , which exhibits a low defect density and was synthesized using a novel CaH 2 -assisted nitridation method, can be utilized as a hydrogen evolution photocatalyst in a Z-scheme overall water splitting system.
