Formal Total Synthesis of (±)-Strictamine

A formal total synthesis of an akuammiline-type indole alkaloid, (±)-strictamine, which features ozonolysis, the Staudinger reaction, and the aza-Wittig reaction to construct its D-ring, is reported.
