Influence of Copper and Sulphur on Machinability and Corrosion Resistance of 4Cr13 Stainless Steel

The effects of copper and sulphur additions on the machinability and corrosion resistance of stainless steel 4Cr13 were presented by means of machining test and corrosion test.The results showed that the machinability of steel 4Cr13 was all improved by adding copper and sulphur.In addition,copper improved the corrosion resistance of steel 4Cr13,while sulphur decreased it.
