Research progress of viscoelastic surfactant solutions applied to hydraulic fracturing and matrix acidizing

Viscoelastic surfactant solutions(VES) can be used as ideal operation fluids in stimulation treatments such as fracturing,acidizing,gravel packing and in tertiary recovery because of its strong surface activity and particular rheological behavior.The composition,preparation and characterization method of the viscoelastic surfactant fluid were introduced.The research progress in rheological behavior was described,and the viscoelastic surfactant fluid applid to hydraulic fracturing and acidizing was reviewed.Finally,some problems of viscoelastic surfactant fluid in application were also indicated.
