Isolation and identification of chemical constituents from Cynomorium songaricum

Objective To study chemical constituents from Cynomorium songaricum.Methods The compounds were isolated by chromatography on silica gel column,Sephadex LH-20,ODS and identified by physicochemical properties and spectrascopic analysis.Results Five compounds were obtained and identified as 4-methylcatechol(1),3,4-dihydroxy-benzoic acid ethyl ester(2),epiphyllocoumarin(3),(-)-lariciresinol(4),dihydroapigenin(5).Conclusions Compounds 1,2,3 and 4 were are isolated from Cynomoriaceae for the first time,and compound 5 is isolated from Cynomorium songaricum for the first time.
