摘要
This study investigates the characteristics of stern slamming pressure, such as occurrence mechanism, space-time distribution and influence of local deadrise angle and relative vertical velocity, and clarifies some key parameters of stern slamming pressure in following irregular wave conditions. Water entry tests of a wedge model and the stern of a ship model were performed, and numerical analyses were also conducted using a particle-based method in order to examine strongly nonlinear interactions caused by stern slamming between a body and free surface motions with splashing and droplets. Moreover, tests of a whole ship model in following irregular waves were performed to identify the characteristics of the key parameters of stern slamming pressure such as a local deadrise angle of the hull surface, a relative vertical velocity between the water surface and the hull face of the stern, and a relative following wave velocity between the ship's velocity and the wave group velocity.
