Note on a New Type of Samaritan Amulet

Samaritan amulets, inscribed with Samaritan inscriptions, are known in the research since the early 20th century. The common types, from the late Roman and Byzantine periods, are mainly bronze leaf-shaped pendants and octagonal finger-rings inscribed with several biblical phrases. The following paper presents a new type of Samaritan amulet made of a round, thin piece of bronze, inscribed with two biblical phrases only, and pierced.
