Highly Reactive Metal−Nitrogen Bond Induced C−H Bond Activation and Azametallacycle Formation

A group 4 metal−nitrogen bond inserted into the carbon−nitrogen double bond of carbodiimides and α-diimines to afford guanidinate and amido−-imino ligand supported group 4 metal complexes, respectively. Metal−nitrogen mediated C−H bond activation α to the nitrogen atom led to the formation of azametallacycle complexes.
