STUDY ON PREPARATION OF MONODISPERSE POLYSTYRENE MICROSPHERES WITH DESIGNABLE SIZE

In this paper,the reaction system compositions(stabilizer,monomer,and initiator)and the reaction conditions(the polarity of reaction media,reaction temperature,and stirring rate)in dispersion polymerization,which affected size,size distribution,and polymerization dynamics,were investigated.On the basis of influence effects of all factors,monodisperse polymer microspheres in the size range of 1.0μm~10.0μm were prepared in reaction conditions optimized in dispersion polymerization.Monodisperse polymer microspheres with micron size with different size and size distribution can be designed.
