Objective:To compare the in vitro antibiotical effect of Chinese herbal decoction and single herbal concentrate-granules for 8 traditional Chinese medicines against clinical Staphylococcus aureus Rosenbach.Methods:The antibiotical effect of single herbal decoction and single herbal concentrate-granules for 8 traditional Chinese medicines against MSSA and MRSA was detected and compared by M-H agar dilution method,with MIC50 and MIC90 determined.Results:Eight traditional Chinese medicines showed different antibacterial activities ,with Galla Chinensis being the most potent.The antibiotical effect of single herbal decoction was better than that of single herbal concentrate-granules for Chinese traditional medicines except Galla Chinensis and Fructus Forsythiae.Conclusion:Difference of antibiotical effect between single herbal decoction and single herbal concentrate-granules maybe related to preparation technologies and qualities of raw medicinal materias.
