Objective To explore the methods for synthesis of maleimide resin with good processibility as well as high heat-resistance.Methods N-(4-hydroxy phenyl) maleimide was prepared from maleic anhydride and 4-aminophenol.Then,the maleimide resin designated as EM was synthesized by N-(4-hydroxyphenyl) maleimide with epoxy resin in the present of desirable catalysts.Results Softening point of maleimide resin was from 37℃ to 57℃.In ordinary organic dissolvant,EM was dissoluble.Original decomposition temperature was 310℃.Conclusion The maleimide resin containing epoxy backbone had not only good processibility but also high heat-resistance.
