Application of the Dess-Martin periodinane reagent in organic synthesis

12-I-5 Triacetoxyperiodinane(the Dess-Martin periodinane(DMP reagent))is one of the most important hypervalent reagents in organic synthesis.The DMP reagent as a wild and selective organic oxidant has been applied in many organic reactions,this paper reviewed six kinds of important applications in organic synthesis and gave the prospect of DMP reagent in organic synthesis.
