Theory and practice of Exposure and Response/Ritual Prevention for obsessive-compulsive disorder:A review

Obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD) is difficult to treat clinically.Exposure and Response/Ritual Prevention have been proven the most effective psychological treatment approach for obsessive-compulsive disorder.In this article,the definition,theory,and operating principles of ERP for OCD,efficacy analysis,and comparison of other psychological treatments were explained.Finally,current problems and future research directions of Exposure and Response/Ritual Prevention therapy for OCD were discussed.
