The key to enhance the efficiency of oxidation of Fenton reagent in wastewater treatment is to improve the productivity of hydroxyl radical in the system. In this paper,hydroxyl radicals was indirectly determined by Fe(phen)32+ method, and the leading factors influencing the apparent productivity of hydroxyl radicals in Fenton's reagent such as the concentration of ferrous iron (Fe2+), the amounts of H2O2 ,pH and reaction time were studied. In the actual application ,the influence of the inorganic ion on the productivity of hydroxyl radicals was investigated in the industrial wastewater. The useful technique parameters for Fenton reagent treating wastewater were offered.
