The Philosophical Origin of the Development of Pragmatics

From the perspective of philosophy of language,the paper explores the important founding theories of pragmatics,including Wittgenstein's philosophy of language,the speech act theory developed by Austin and the conversational implicature theory established by Grice.The conclusion has been reached that all these important founding theories of pragmatics have deep philosophical origin.
