Sugar Accumulation Process of Longyou Pomelo and Changes of Activities of Sucrose-metabolizing Enzymes

Sugar accumulation and the changes of activities of sugar-metabolizing enzymes in the flesh of Longyou Pomelo were studied during the fruit development.The results showed that the contents of 3 kinds of soluble sugar were increased at the similar rate in the fruit developing process.The sucrose was the main sugar in the mature period and the late expanding period.In the process of sugar accumulation,the activities of sucrose phosphate synthase and sucrose synthase were higher.But the activity of the invertase decreased with the sucrose accumulation.
