Determination of Matrine Residue in Tea Using Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry or Gas Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Two preparation methods was developed for the determination of matrine residue in tea samples by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(GC-MS/MS),respectively.And comparison of the applicability between in LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS was carried out.At the spiked levels of 10-100 μg/kg,no significant differences existed between the recoveries and the relative standard deviations(RSDs) of two methods.In both methods,the recoveries were 81%-85% for GC-MS/MS and 82%-86% for LC-MS/MS,with RSDs of 4.6%-11.5% and 2.9%-4.2%,respectively.Both methods were accurate,reliable and sensitivity,and was suitable for the determination of matrine residue in tea.With the second sample preparation,the matrine residue in tea could be detected by LC-MS/MS with more advantages.
