Investigation on the knowledge about graded nursing among nursing assistants in elder homes

Objective To investigate the knowledge about graded nursing among nursing assistants in elder homes,to analyze the problems and put forward measures to improve the quality of graded nursing.Method A questionnaire survey was conducted on 122 nursing assis- tants.Results The nursing assistants showed higher level of recognition to the classification and standards of graded nursing and the con- tents of wholly compensatory nursing care ,but they showed deficiency in the recognition to other items of graded nursing.There was no sig- nificant difference among nursing assistants with different working years and educational levels (P 0.05).Conclusion The knowledge about graded nursing was insufficient among nursing assistants,it is suggested to strengthen professional training and education for them to ensure the implementation of graded nursing,improve the effect of nursing care and increase patients' satisfaction.
