Highly efficient CO-assisted conversion of methane to acetic acid over Rh-encapsulated MFI zeolite prepared using RhCl3 molten salt

A highly active Rh-MFI zeolite was successfully prepared using RhCl 3 molten salts toward a direct conversion reaction of methane to acetic acid, and the importance of in situ generated Rh I single-atom sites in the catalysis was clarified.
