Disposal of hazardous wastes in industrial boilers and furnaces

The disposal of hazardous wastes in industrial boilers and furnaces is described. Processes which convert wastes to energy continue to be of interest in energy intensive industries, and the disposal of hazardous wastes is a primary concern in today's environment-conscious society. In the search for disposal alternatives, the USEPA has evaluated the potential use of high-temperature processes for the incineration of hazardous wastes. The feasibility of incineration in industrial boilers and furnaces is covered in Parts I and II of the book, respectively.
