SHIP DESIGN ‐ PERFORMANCE THROUGH INNOVATION

ABSTRACT Using the design of an advanced 3,500‐Metric Ton Frigate as a baseline, the impacts of various innovative and/or advanced technologies are developed. Included in the discussion are advanced concepts and design innovations related to the design of gas turbines, combat system, survivability, habitability, electrical cables, hull structures, and fabrication techniques.
